The Central Criminal Court has hears Louth teen accused of rape, committed some of the most serious crimes in law

daajis.com:- The Central Criminal Court has heard that a teenager from County Louth committed some of the most serious crimes in law when he repeatedly sexually abused his niece and cousin together.

Ms Justice Mary Ellen Ring told the court today that she was concerned that there was no risk assessment carried out for the 17-year-old boy in terms of how likely he is to re-offend.

The teenager pleaded guilty to five counts of rape, two counts of sexual exploitation and one count of sexual assault of the two girls at his home address on dates between November 2019 and March 2020.

He was 14 at the time of the offending, while the girls were aged between nine and ten.

Ms Justice Ring adjourned the case to next Wednesday and ordered that the boy be detained in Oberstown.
