In a live broadcast television station Channel 7 which was near the location of hostages , seen three people fled from the cafe . One of those who fled is believed to be an employee for wearing apron Lindt Lindt .
Currently , a number of armed police look has moved closer to the entrance of the cafe . Similarly, as also reported by Reuters on Monday ( 12/15/2014 ) .
Police have confirmed the existence of an armed person in this hostage action . " I can confirm to you that there is an armed attacker in the building holding a number of hostages who can not mention the amount in the city , in the area of Martin Place , " said Chief of Police of the State of New South Wales Andrew Scipione told a news conference as reported by News . com.au , Monday ( 12/15/2014 ) .
